The Build Process – 7 Easy Steps
Initial Interview
This is when we will listen and note all that you are hoping to accomplish with your new website. Whether it’s a redesign for a more modern look or a brand new build we want to hear your vision.
Proposal
You will receive a link to your proposal outlining all that we discussed and hope to achieve and the cost of your website build.
Contract
Once the proposal has been accepted you will be sent a contract solidifying our agreement to work for you.
Payments
Your website invoice will come in three parts: 30% to start. 30% in 30 days. 40% once the website is live. We then give you two months of your monthly plan free ($198.00 value) in order to give you ample time to make sure we have done everything correctly. After which, your $99/mo will begin.
Design
We will offer you an initial framework to make sure you like the design and the direction it is going. Once you have approved the design we proceed to incorporate all of the content you have provided.
Revisions
It usually takes about three rounds to get it all pinned down and perfect, so no worries, we are not offended when you change something. This is when we tighten the ship, check spelling, etc.
Go Live
We will access your domain name (yes, you can use the one you already have) and point it to your new site. Voila!
We only manage what we build.
We take security serious. For this reason, we can only manage websites that we have built onto our server platform. This way we know our sites are secure, backed up and offering optimal performance. Unfortunately, we simply cannot vouch for someone else’s work. We can assure you that we only use the best. Read more about hosting by clicking here.
Handling Changes, Edits and Updates
Our service is designed to give you peace of mind knowing that if you can send a simple request, all your website needs will be met. There are some limits however, so it is important that you understand the difference between an update and an addition when sending your requests.
You plan includes updates.
An update is replacing what is already there. Typical updates include: replacing images, replacing flyers, changing text, updating button links, etc.
Your plan does not include additions.
Building requires more time and planning. Anytime you want to make an addition to your website and increase it’s size we get excited because we love building. However, additions need to be planned and we will inform you of the cost based on your project before we make a move. We definitely do not believe in surprise invoices. Ugh! Typical additions include: building additional pages, adding new page sections, adding functionality, embedding script, redesigning the site, etc.
